Food for Thought
Forgot to put this up in my other post, and figured it's actually worth its own entry anyways. I've compiled a list of Holiday Diet Tips. Behold!
1. Broken cookies only have a fraction of the calories.
2. Food that you get as gifts doesn't count, since you didn't have to pay for it.
3. Taste-testing is part of the cooking process, NOT part of the eating process, so it doesn't count either.
4. Finishing your kids' leftovers is part of the dish-cleaning process, NOT part of the eating process (see above).
5. Leftover turkey loses its calories after the third day.
6. Dieting is a GREAT excuse not to eat fruitcake.
7. You burn enough calories while baking to justify eating at least half of the result with no penalties.
8. Ditto for cooking turkey.
9. Rum has fewer calories than eggnog. Hence, with the right balance between the two, they cancel each other out and you can have a GREAT no-calorie drink after supper. (NOTE: It may take a few tries to find just the right ratio, but don't worry - you'll get it by the fourth or fifth one.)
10. Stress can make you put on weight - so keep everyone's mouth full of great food to prevent those stressful holiday arguments!
Anybody with any more? Feel free to add them in comments (they will be added to the post proper, with credits of course)!

And you forgot; food eaten only out of politeness cancels out any calories as well.
